Murtagh-McFarlane Archives

Concert manager Lilian Murtagh represented many of the best-known concert organists of the twentieth century. Her successor (from 1976), Karen McFarlane, has donated to the Organ Library extensive correspondence between Ms. Murtagh and recitalists such as Fernando Germani, Flor Peeters, Jeanne Demessieux, Anton Heiller, Maurice Duruflé, Jean Langlais, and Claire Coci. Also included are concert programs, itineraries, press clippings, and financial records. The Murtagh-McFarlane Archives continue to grow as new material is added from time to time.
