Organ Library Music Sales will be closed for most of July and the beginning of August in 2018 due to the construction on the Mass Pike bridge very near to Boston University. Email (orglib@bu.edu) will get through to staff, but physical access to the library will be limited, so orders may not be able to be filled until mid-August. Thank you for your patience.

Special Collections

The archival holdings of the Organ Library preserve unique material relating to important figures in the organ world. While some of these collections, such as a batch of correspondence from noted organ builder G. Donald Harrison, are not particularly large, they are of significant interest.

Wm. King Covell’s collection of pre-World War II European organ photos preserves images of many instruments that either have been altered or no longer exist. Archives of the Truette Organ Club and the Choir Directors’ Guild afford a glimpse into local Boston organ activities in the early twentieth century.
